Key Responsibilities
Source and purchase raw materials, components, and services in support of engineering and manufacturing operations
Review MRP/MPS requirements to ensure timely and accurate material procurement
Issue purchase orders and ensure pricing, delivery, and specifications are accurate
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms
Work closely with Engineering to understand technical requirements, drawings, and specifications
Expedite materials as needed to meet production deadlines
Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery, quality, or pricing issues
Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation within ERP/MRP systems
Support inventory management initiatives to minimize shortages and excess inventory
Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and applicable regulations
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
2+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications is a plus
Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
