Position Summary

Stafkings is seeking an experienced General Accountant II to support our client’s finance department. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and analyzing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, close attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare daily cash reports and assist with month-end closings for all entities.
Create and post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.
Review and approve purchase requisitions.
Monitor aging reports to ensure receivables are kept current and not exceeding 60 days.
Provide financial support and insight to cross-functional teams.
Review monthly Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets with the accounting team to ensure accuracy.
Maintain general ledger accounts and perform accounts receivable functions as needed.
Complete bank reconciliations and maintain proper documentation of transactions.
File paid and unpaid invoices and statements in an organized manner.
Respond promptly to vendor and customer inquiries.
Assist with special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Associate degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2–4 years of professional accounting experience required.
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
