Working Environment: Travel as required within the community, client homes, and facilities such as doctor offices, hospitals, dialysis centers, emergency rooms, etc. as necessary to be with the client. You must be able to walk, sit, stand, reach or stretch for various lengths of time associated with working and traveling within the community and to clients’ homes. Ability to perform tasks that involve physical demands such as lifting, bending and assisting clients with mobility. In-home lifting requires up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 325 pounds utilizing an assisted device. Potential travel in inclement weather.
Position Summary: The Personal Care Aide (PCA) is responsible for providing personal care and assisting the clients with various daily living activities to ensure their comfort, safety, and well-being within their home. The PCA will follow a care plan which has been individually designed to support the client in their home environment. The exact duties will vary depending on the needs of the client. This assistance could include help with dressing, toileting and incontinence care, bathing or light housekeeping. Chores could include laundry, changing sheets, meal preparation, general cleaning, errands or accompanying clients to doctor’s appointments.
