Stafkings is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper / Office Assistant. This role combines bookkeeping responsibilities with general administrative support and is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the day-to-day operations of a busy office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for accounts payable processing, financial recordkeeping, bank deposits, petty cash management, and general office administration. This position requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Process vendor invoices and enter accounts payable information accurately into financial tracking spreadsheets.
Verify receipt of goods and services prior to invoice processing and payment.
Prepare, distribute, and maintain records of company checks and payments.
Manage and reconcile petty cash accounts, including reviewing requests, verifying receipts, and maintaining accurate records.
Prepare and deliver bank deposits and financial documentation as needed.
Record and track daily deposits and maintain accurate financial records.
Assist with audit preparation by organizing financial records and supporting external auditors and accounting professionals.
Coordinate with accounting partners regarding financial documentation, reports, and records.
Prepare month-end deposit documentation and assist with routine financial reporting.
Maintain bookkeeping records and perform data entry with a high degree of accuracy.
Provide administrative support including filing, copying, scanning, and document management.
Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities as required.
Support general office operations and contribute to an efficient workplace environment.
Qualifications
Previous bookkeeping, accounting, accounts payable, or office administration experience preferred.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets, formulas, and data tracking.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and standard office software.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for occasional bank and office-related errands.
